Connie Johnson Breast Cancer Research Laboratory

The Connie Johnson Lab at Garvan is looking for a skilled and committed Animal Technician to join the team. Our research is patient focussed, and we engage patients as partners in this endeavour, through initiatives such as Project SHARE (Specimens Help All Research Efforts), whereby patients are asked to donate their breast cancer and metastatic tissue for research purposes. The breast cancer tissue bank is a major initiative, and used for the establishment of patient-derived tumour xenografts in mice, which are used for the evaluation of novel therapies. A major focus of our group is to identify novel therapies and to overcome resistance to endocrine therapies.
