The opportunity:

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Animal Technician to join the Biological Testing Facility within the Garvan Institute. The primary responsibilities of this position involve the maintenance and care of inbred and genetically manipulated mouse, rat and zebrafish colonies within a clean room environment. The technician will, cage washing and general facility cleaning as well as laboratory management including stocking consumables and the cleaning of labs/procedure rooms.

Responsibilities may include:

Participate in infection control procedures
Cage Washing and hygene control
General facility cleaning
Laboratory management including stocking consumables and cleaning of labs/procedure rooms

The successful candidate will possess the following key skills:
