The opportunity:
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research fellow to join the Chtanova lab at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, Sydney, Australia (https://www.garvan.org.au/research/immunology/innate-and-tumour-immunology).
The lab uses novel and unique approaches based on photoconvertible reporters and two-photon microscopy to study immune cell migration in response to microbial inflammation and in tumour settings.
The successful candidate will have an active role in conceiving and implementing experimental approaches, training and supervision of research staff and students and presentation of results in the form of publications, international conference presentations and grant/fellowship applications.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- A PhD in immunology or related science
- Experience in cellular immunology, multi-parameter flow cytometry, advanced fluorescence microscopy and/or image analysis is highly desirable
- A strong publication record
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team
This postdoctoral position is a full-time fixed term position, initially for 12 months, renewable upon review. This position is particularly suited for junior postdoctoral scientists that recently obtained their PhD degrees.
