The opportunity:

We currently have an opportunity for a Clinical Practice Manager  to join our Operations Team and be responsible for the coordination of the Garvan / Genome.One clinical practice as well as the efficiency of the day to day clinical function including licencing, scheduling and billing arrangements of external clinicians and their patients.

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Overall responsibility for managing and running the day-to-day operations of the practice
  • Overall responsibility for business development including implementation of business structure, new business practices and identification of new areas for growth
  • Administrative and reception responsibilities including overall responsibility for scheduling, training, WH&S requirements and electronic medical records.
  • Responsibility for marketing and development, office and equipment maintenance and practice IT and security
  • Overall responsibility for accounting including patient and clinician accounts, debtors, monthly reconciliation of billings and receipts.
  • Collation, co-ordination and maintenance of practice manuals, policies and procedures to guarantee a consistently excellent level of service to patients and clinicians
  • Liaison with patients, referrers, Medicare and other external agencies and health funds as required
  • Providing professional, friendly and helpful service in all circumstances

 

The successful candidate will possess the following key skills:

  • Previous experience as a practice manager
  • Outstanding skills in business management and development, finance/accounting and administration including experience in strategic leadership
  • An aptitude for innovation and adaptable to change
  • A high level of attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and to work under pressure
